Frequent repairs, rising energy bills, uneven heating, unusual noises or difficulty keeping your home comfortable can mean your furnace needs attention. Whether repair or replacement makes more sense depends on the age and condition of the equipment, the problem and the cost of the repair. Donaldson can inspect your system and explain both options before you decide. Read more on our furnace repair page.
Annual furnace maintenance is generally recommended to keep your heating system running reliably and efficiently. A maintenance visit can catch developing issues, clean and inspect key components and reduce the chance of a breakdown in the middle of winter. Book a visit through our furnace maintenance service, or cover it every year with one of our Membership Plans.
Common warning signs include unusual noises, frequent cycling, uneven temperatures, reduced airflow, higher-than-normal energy use, trouble starting or a furnace that isn’t producing enough heat. If your furnace stops heating, don’t wait. We offer 24/7 emergency service. Call us now and we’ll work to get a technician to your home the same day, subject to availability. See our furnace repair service.
Heat pumps can be an efficient option for many Ontario homes, providing heating and air conditioning from one system. Depending on the home and existing equipment, they can heat the whole house or be paired with a furnace as a hybrid system. A free in-home estimate shows which setup makes sense for your home. Learn more about heat pumps.
Yes. Donaldson services more than furnaces and heat pumps. Our heating services also include boiler service and gas fireplace repair, maintenance, installation and replacement. If you’re unsure what your system needs, schedule a service visit and our team will assess it. See our boiler services and gas fireplace services for details.
The right heating system depends on your home’s size and layout, existing ductwork, insulation, current equipment, comfort goals and budget. Options include a furnace, heat pump, hybrid system or boiler. Donaldson can assess your home and recommend an option based on your needs, and in-home estimates for a new furnace or heat pump are free. Start with our furnace installation page.
