What your neighbours are saying about us

Protecting your furnace between visits
A little care between professional maintenance visits can go a long way. Simple habits like changing your filter, keeping airflow clear, and paying attention to changes in performance can help keep your furnace running reliably throughout the heating season.
Replace your furnace filter regularly
A dirty filter restricts airflow and can make your furnace work harder than necessary. Check your filter regularly and replace it according to the filter manufacturer’s recommendations, especially during periods of heavy use.
Keep vents and returns clear
Furniture, rugs, and other household items can block supply vents or return air grilles and interfere with airflow. Keeping them open and unobstructed helps heated air move properly throughout your home.
Pay attention to changes in performance
You know how your home normally feels. New noises, unusual smells, uneven temperatures, longer heating cycles, or an unexpected increase in energy use can all be reasons to have your furnace checked rather than waiting until your next maintenance visit.

Furnace maintenance FAQs
Have more questions? We’ve got the answers.
Once a year. Think of it like a vehicle: you wouldn’t skip an oil change, and your furnace shouldn’t skip its maintenance visit. Booking before the heating season gives your technician a chance to deal with potential problems before you rely on your furnace every day. If you’d rather not have to remember, one of our Membership Plans books the visit for you.
A furnace maintenance visit is more than a quick inspection. Your technician will clean the furnace where needed, check its major components and safety controls, test its operation, replace applicable filters, inspect drainage and look for anything that could affect safety, reliability or efficiency, including checking for carbon monoxide.
You may see companies advertise 29-point, 35-point or even longer inspection checklists. We don’t believe the number of boxes matters nearly as much as doing the job properly. Our technicians thoroughly inspect, clean and test your furnace, document its condition and settings, and recommend only the work your system actually needs.
If we find something that needs attention, we’ll explain what we found and your options for repair.
Any time of year works. What matters most is that your furnace is maintained every year, not which month the visit falls in. Our Membership Plans spread visits across the year, so you get a convenient appointment instead of waiting through the fall rush. If it has been more than a year since your last visit, book now, and ask about AC maintenance so both systems stay on schedule.
Regular maintenance can catch developing problems, support reliable operation, reduce unnecessary wear and help make sure your furnace is ready when you need it. Annual professional maintenance may also be required under the terms of some equipment warranties, so check yours before skipping a year. On qualifying new furnaces and air conditioners, True Care includes annual maintenance with a new filter.
A properly maintained furnace can run more efficiently than one affected by neglected maintenance or mechanical issues. Maintenance can’t guarantee a specific drop in your energy bills, but it helps make sure your system is operating as intended. Between visits, replacing your filter and keeping vents clear also help. If your furnace is old and inefficient, compare the cost of a new furnace; in-home estimates for installations are free.
Yes. Our Membership Plans cover a single furnace or several pieces of home comfort equipment, starting at $10 a month for one unit. Depending on the plan, benefits include scheduled maintenance visits, a waived diagnostic fee, a 15% repair discount and priority booking. Compare the options on our Membership Plans page.
